Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Converse is having a bit of a love affair with San Francisco—not long after opening its first Northern California store in San Francisco, the brand has collaborated with local mini-chain Shoe Biz to created a Chuck Taylor All Star San Francisco collection. The designs include three models: Earthquake 1906, Golden Gate Bridge Blueprint, and Gold Rush. All three designs are pretty subdued—no garish colors or neon, and we're digging it. They cost $60 per pair and are available exclusively at Shoe Biz.
The Golden Gate Blueprints are already sold out except for size 10 men's, so better hurry if you'd like to get in on this SF love. Bonus: all proceeds go to Compass Family Services, which helps families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
