SOMA—New bar Bergerac will change your perception of 11th Street with its chic interior, bourgeois bar bites, and classy cocktails. Take a look around.

MARINA—Cafe Claude's second location in the Marina opened on Wednesday, with all the glamorous trimmings and classic French cuisine that make the original a perennial. Check it out.

SAN FRANCISCO—Has the cronut trend jumped the shark? With Safeway selling them and Fillmore Bakeshop offering a dozen via Gilt City, we're inclined to say yes.

THE MISSION—The Vestry, the restaurant arm of music venue The Chapel, has finally arrived. Get a load of that huge patio with a prime Valencia view.

SAN FRANCISCO/LOS GATOS—The latest round of Michelin star rankings are a month away from dropping, but one British critic had no love for two-star Manresa, deeming it "torturous" and the service "insanely stupid."

BERKELEY—East Bay fans of Bourbon & Branch will soon have a cocktail bar to call their own: the booze impresarios are taking over the former Beckett's in downtown Berkeley, renaming it Tupper & Reed.
