Prada San Francisco Gets a Shimmery Makeover

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Check out the fancy new interior of the Prada on Post Street in Union Square. The 6,500 square-foot boutique was designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi and sparkles with tons of mirrors, crystal, black marble, green velvet and leather details. It's a fitting backdrop for the Milan-based brand's luxury clothes and accessories for men and women. While the women's section is a jewel box of reflective surfaces, men will feel at home in the more subdued area dedicated to them, which features approachable upholstery and floor coverings.
