Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The Makeshift Society is expanding to the East Coast, and hopes to open doors in New York in 2014. The "coworking space and clubhouse for creatives" located at 235 Gough Street has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for a Brooklyn location. The organization offers classes on drawing, writing, creating an indie magazine and more, and hosts parties and happy hours for maker types. [Hayeswire]
