Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Head to Fort Mason next Friday through Sunday, January 17 to 19, for the first annual Fog Design+Art fair. The event will showcase prominent twentieth century and contemporary design dealers and art galleries, and play host to 21POP, a special installation from Stanlee Gatti that explores the relationship between design and culinary art. A jam-packed schedule of lectures, conversations, and performances rounds out the fair's activities. Buy tickets online for $15 or at the door for $20. A limited number of tickets is still available for Thursday night's Preview Gala—proceeds benefit the SFMOMA. So pick a day (or all days) to go to find design inspiration plus learn from the experts. And be prepared for all-encompassing desire to buy a statement piece for your home.
