Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
When Anna Wintour made reviving Lucky Mag a top priority last year, she handpicked Eva Chen to helm the ship, appointing the 33-year-old as editor in June 2013. Chen credits her social media savvy for her ability to navigate (and stay relevant) in today's fast-changing fashion landscape—a key requirement connecting with Lucky's readership. So it's little surprise that Chen stays plugged into our local tech scene. For the past couple days, Chen has been on a whirlwind trip around the city (and the valley), posting Instagram updates along the way. We're always curious to see what the former Teen Vogue beauty director packs in her cosmetics kit and where she's shopping for her self-proclaimed shoe-and-handbag addiction. Even better that her last 48 hours were spent here in our town.
