Today's pick comes from Racked National columnist Frank Gargione.
Hanz de Fuko Quicksand, $17.50 at Birchbox Man
Hanz de Fuko Quicksand is formulated to de-grease and give lift to unwashed hair. That said, I got my hands on a tub before I knew it was dry shampoo that styled—I just tried it on wet, clean hair before brushing. And I absolutely loved it.
I've got fine hair. It's still there, thank goodness, but it's next to impossible to get it to do anything but lay there limply until I step outside (when it invariably gets Dennis-the-Menace messy.) And yet this Quicksand stuff adds texture and lift and volume and even some hold—without the over-styled shellac or inevitable crunch or dead weight that is pretty much standard with all gels and most other pastes and pomades. I'm crazy about the stuff. Now I just have to try it when I skip a morning shower.
