Union Square's Grant Avenue is quickly becoming San Francisco's answer to Madison Avenue, with oodles of luxury shops, like the new Carolina Herrera boutique we mentioned earlier today. Just in case there weren't enough ways for you to spend your paycheck on Grant, eyewear specialist Oliver Peoples will soon join the glamour corridor with its first SF outpost on the fashionable street.

The shop, which will take over the former Christofle space at 140 Grant Avenue, will be the brand's eighth boutique in the U.S., and will carry the just-announced Oliver Peoples West line, according to Women's Wear Daily. (The West line is inspired by the casual, on-the-go California lifestyle, and will start with seven unisex styles at prices between $265 to $280.)

In addition to the West line, WWD says the Grant Avenue store will be the first location to offer the Oliver Peoples Made-to-Order program, "which will allow customers to customize the colors of three classic styles: the O'Malley, the Ari and the Sheldrake."

From the looks of the storefront (and WWD's assertion that the spot is soon-to-open), we expect Oliver Peoples to be in business in early spring.
