Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Take a quick look at that weather app and you'll see that SF is in for another scorcher (by NorCal standards) this weekend. Luckily, the fine folks at The Bold Italic have found a way to get into local pools—for free:

The SF Public Library system also allows you to rent out pool and museum passes. The SFPL buys bulk Family Passes, which give you free admission to cool places like the California Academy of Sciences or public pools all around the city.

You can call your local branch in advance to see which passes are available before you plan your day. And with a pass in hand, a quick trip to luxe swimwear and lingerie store Eres is totally justified. You have to spend your pool savings somewhere, right?
