Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jeans are almost never the right length when you buy them, so a seamstress who can tailor denim with an original hem finish for $20 is someone who you should treasure. Sadly, Hayes Valley is losing one such treasure. Hoodline reports that Revival on Gough is closing up shop in two months. The space is currently up for rent, and the mother-daughter team behind the shop —they also sell new and used clothing, jewelry, shoes and bags— have confirmed that they are moving on to other opportunities. If you need your jeans hemmed on the cheap, you better run over before the shop closes.
