MISSION— The San Francisco Day of the Dead Procession and Festival of Altars is Sunday, November 2nd. This event has been celebrated in the Mission district since the early 70s as a way to remember deceased friends and family with art, music, performances and a walking procession. The event assembles at 22nd and Bryant starting at 6 pm, with the procession starting at exactly 7 pm. The route continues along 22nd to Mission, before looping back to the starting point.
