SOMA— It's Halloween and the final Trannyshack of the year. Join drag legends Heklina and Peaches Christ at Beatbox (314 Eleventh Street), tonight, October 31st for performances by Roxy-Cotten Candy, Cookie Dough, Fade Dra, Fauxnique, Rusty Hips, Clammy Faye, Bea Dazzler, Fruitbomb, Exhibit Q., Dina Isis, Precious Moments, Cousin Wonderlette, Rice Rockettes and more. MISSION— The San Francisco Day of the Dead Procession and Festival of Altars is Sunday, November 2nd. This event has been celebrated in the Mission district since the early 70s as a way to remember deceased friends and family with art, music, performances and a walking procession. The event assembles at 22nd and Bryant starting at 6 pm, with the procession starting at exactly 7 pm. The route continues along 22nd to Mission, before looping back to the starting point. PALO ALTO— Join Stanford Shopping Center (along with SF bloggers Kate Ogata from the Fancy Pants Report and Krystal Bick from This Time Tomorrow) on Saturday, November 1st for Simon Lookbook Live. The event is an interactive trend showcase from the style pros at GQ and Glamour that will include personal styling sessions, grooming and beauty how-tos, social media challenges, and giveaways.
