UNION SQUARE— Halloween is 25 days away, and Britex Fabrics (146 Geary Street) wants to set you up with the mask-making skills you need to WIN. THE. DAY. Meet on the fourth level of the store on Saturday, October 25th from 10:30 to 11:15am for a basic mask workshop. You'll start with a mask blank, (which can be cut into a variety of shapes), learn how to cover the blank with fabric, and then go crazy embellishing your masterpiece with feathers, ribbons, appliques, studs, sequins and crystals. All materials will be provided, including scissors and glue—no sewing required! The workshop is $15, and it's appropriate for ages 14 and up. Register here. [Racked Inbox]

MISSIONHeath Ceramics will host an Under One Roof art show this month to display work out of the Heath Collective: a group of talented artisan makers who have studios at Heath Ceramics' Mission district tile factory. All of the work in the exhibit —which runs October 24th through November 2nd— has been created specifically for the show, and is inspired by Heath's iconic Boiler Room. To kick it all off in style, head to the Boiler Room (2900 18th Street) on October 24th from 6-8:30pm for the opening reception. See great work, meet the makers, soak up the creative vibe, and enjoy wine from Scribe Winery. The event is free, but you must register here. [Racked Inbox]
