October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it seems like an appropriate time for Niners QB Colin Kaepernick to rock his pink Beats by Dre headphones at a post-win press conference. Except —oops!— Bose is now an NFL sponsor. And Bose makes high-end headphones, too. You can see this isn't going to end well, right?
According to Business Insider, the sponsorship agreement bars players from wearing non-Bose headphones during games and for 90 minutes after games. Kaepernick violated those terms by wearing his Beats at the press conference, so the NFL fined him $10,000. For a guy with over 400 pairs of shoes and a Beats endorsement contract, a $10,000 fine is not a big deal. But still…ten thousand dollars? That's, like, a few pairs of fancy shoes that the QB's closet may never know.
