Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
MISSION— It's already been open for three months, but Azalea (956 Valencia) is finally throwing a party to celebrate its Mission outpost. Soothing Sista will be hosting the soiree on Thursday, November 13th from 6-9pm, and there will be treats from Mission Chinese and 21st Amendment. While you're there, check out the Classic Specs pop-up in the store. [Racked Inbox]
BERKELEY— Melissa Joy Manning is hosting a gathering at her Berkeley store (1827 5th Street) on Friday, November 14th from 5-7pm, and fans of the local eco-jewelry line will want to be there. Shoppers will have the opportunity to make their own jewelry with Melissa and browse a selection of ceramics by Rae Dunn while drinking wine and eating lovely things. It's the perfect opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping or make something special for someone special. We're giving you permission to shop for yourself because you're special, too.
