Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Timbuk2 has a bag for almost every purpose. There's the standard messenger, the cooler messenger bag for weekends in Dolores Park, the bag for coffee snobs, and the diaper bag for parents on-the-go. While those models seem to be available all the time, there's one hyper-functional bag that's perpetually out of stock: the MuttMover backpack.

The Muttmover ($90) has a mesh ventilated back panel, and dual side openings, which can accommodate a range of pet sizes, (though the maximum pet weight for the bag is 20 pounds). It comes with a foldable water dish (in case your pet gets thirsty) and the paw-print lining is waterproof and easy to wipe (in case you pet drinks too much from the water dish). It's a pretty swell carrier for a city dweller with a small pet.

We've been pestering Timbuk2 to find out when the company would restock the MuttMover, and a rep confirmed this morning that the bag will be back the first week of December. Take a moment to block off that week on your calendar and add the bag to your wish list; with the holidays around the corner, this pet carrier is bound to sell out as soon as it becomes available.
