Los Angeles' Apolis is popping up in San Francisco for the holidays, and showing its love for the city with a limited-edition bag. Raan and Shea Parton started Apolis in 2004 with an idea that business can create social change. Whether it means partnering with manufacturers in Uganda, Peru, Bangladesh, or around the corner in Los Angeles, the Partons have used their model of "advocacy through industry" to "empower people to determine their own future." Perhaps the Parton brothers' future includes a empowering San Francisco with a permanent Apolis location, but they are presently focused on their Nomad Market at Voyager (365 Valencia Street). Stop by now through mid-January to check out Apolis's product collection, stories, and films.
