Is it Open? This Week's Union Square Department Store Hours

You survived Black Friday, but the holiday shopping season has only just begun. Union Square department stores are ramping up their holiday hours this week, so it's best to check when your favorites are open before you contemplate Muni or parking madness. Which stores are selling when? Forget about scrolling through multiple websites; we've assembled all the info in one place so you can determine whether it's too late to buy that cashmere scarf for your mother tonight.

Here are the department store hours in alphabetical order:

Barneys New York: You've gotta love Barney's for keeping the most random hours throughout the season. On Monday, December 1st, the store is open from 10 am to 7 pm, while on Tuesday it's open from 10 am to 9 pm. Wednesday through Saturday, Barney's is open from 10 am to 8 pm. On Sunday, it's open from 11 am to 8 pm.

Bloomingdale's: Monday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 3rd, Bloomie's is open from 10 am to 9 pm. Thursday through Saturday, the store will extend hours from 10 am to 10 pm. On Sunday, the store will be open from 11 am to 8 pm.

Macy's If you're out and about, Macy's is probably open. The Union Square store will be open from 10 am to 9 pm Monday, December 1st and Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9 am to 11 pm Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8 am to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, December 7th, the store scales it back with a more modest 10 am to 9 pm day.

Neiman Marcus: Monday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 3rd, the store will be open from 10 am to 7 pm. Thursday through Saturday, store hours are 10 am to 8 pm. On Sunday, you can shop from 10 am to 7 pm.

Nordstrom: One of the more consistent stores in this holiday shopping fray, Nordstrom is open from 10 am to 9 pm Monday, December 1st through Saturday, December 6th. On Sunday, December 7th, the store will be open from 11 am to 8 pm.

Saks Fifth Avenue: Monday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 3rd, Saks will be open from 10 am to 7 pm. Thursday through Saturday, store hours are 10 am to 8 pm. On Sunday, December 7th, Saks will have the shortest hours of any of the major department stores on Union Square: 12 to 7 pm.

Wilkes Bashford: This San Francisco staple has extended its hours for the holidays. From Monday, December 1st through Friday, December 5th, the Union Square location will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. On Saturday, December 6th, hours are 9 am to 6 pm. Sunday, the store will be open from 12-5 pm.
