Coming Soonish to SF: Another European Watch Brand

In November, we told you that Swiss watchmaker Hublot would be moving into Union Square this year. And though a rep tells us the opening date is looking more like 2015, we're reasonably certain that the company will bring its fancy European timepieces to a 941-zip code within the next year. But what if there were two Euro luxury companies eyeing new San Francisco properties? Could you even contain your excitement? We ask only because Women's Wear Daily reports that Italian watchmaker Officine Panerai is mulling a Bay Area boutique. Panerai CEO Angelo Bonati told the trade mag that the company is currently working on stores in Miami and Milan, while looking for space on Bond Street in London and somewhere in San Francisco.
