It's the last full week to shop for Christmas, and most Union Square stores are helping out the last-minute shopper with extended hours. You may have thought the extra time allowed to browse and buy at the beginning of the month was good, but this week's hours are even better. So click through for the department stores' exact hours and forget those overnight shipping charges.
Barneys New York: Monday, December 15th through Wednesday, December 17th, find gifts for your favorite fashionistas from 10am to 8pm. The store will extend these hours to 10am to 9pm on Thursday through Saturday then return to an 8pm closing on Sunday, December 21st.
Bloomingdale's: This week, from Monday through Friday, Bloomie's will open at 10am and close at 10pm. On Saturday, the store will add an hours in the morning and will open at 9am and close at 10pm, but will flip-flop on Sunday and will open at 10am and close at 9pm.
Gump's: Monday, December 15th through Saturday, December 20th, shop the local retail legend from 10am to 8pm. On Sunday, December 21st, the store will close earlier at 6pm.
Macy's: The light-filled windows at Union Square's most prominent department store will stay on from 8am to 11:30pm from today through Thursday, December 18. On Friday, the lights will turn on at 7am and won't turn off until 6pm on Christmas Eve (yes, that's right, 24 hour service for four days straight).
Neiman Marcus: This luxe department store takes a milder approach with hours this week from 10am to 9pm but with an earlier close on Sunday at 8pm.
Nordstrom: This department store's hours mirror the ones for Bloomingdale's; 10am to 10pm Monday through Friday, 9am to 10pm Saturday, and 10 am to 9 pm Sunday.
Saks Fifth Avenue: From today, December 15th through Saturday, December 20th, Saks will open its doors from 10am to 8pm. Hours changes on Sunday, December 21st, to 12pm to 7pm.
Westfield San Francisco Centre: Home to both Bloomie's and Nordstrom, the large indoor mall will share the same hours as the two department stores.
