You Have Only Two Days Left to Shop at Shop657 This Year

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Academy of Art University's Shop657 needs to be on your radar. The boutique, which opened earlier this month at 657 Sutter Street, is a not-for-profit retail space created and curated by the school's fashion merchandising students. Items in the store —like shoes from Freda Salvador and Konstantina Tzovolou, and clothes from Mansoor Scott and San Francycle— are designed by Academy's School of Fashion students and alumni. Think of it as your chance to snag a really cool piece by a young designer before he/she makes it big.

Because the shop tracks the University's academic calendar, you only have two days left to shop Shop657 for holiday gifts. The shop, open from 4-7pm, Wednesday-Saturday, will remain open this year until December 20th, and reopen in January 2015.
