This "winter" weather has us dreaming about outerwear. And just as we begin to tire of the coats in our closet, we find a new Kickstarter campaign from Silver Lining, an SF-based brand that hopes to launch an outerwear collection with custom linings for men and women. Either choose one of Bay Area artist Kelly Ording's prints or upload your own artwork or photograph for a truly customized option.
Prices for the US-made coats begin at $450 and range upward to $1,200 for two completely custom coats. A portion of all sales will benefit SF-based visual arts organization Root Division, which provides free art classes to over 500 students in the Bay Area. Silver Lining only needs $2,140 to fund its $20,000 project, which it can accomplish with about five more coat orders. Head to the Kickstarter here to show how much the inside matters.
