We knew the days were numbered for 1564 MRKT, but it's still hard to hear that the day is nigh. The artist collective will disperse before the end of the year. Motley Bags, the first maker to setup inside the Mid-Market space, has already found a new location in the Tenderloin, Hoodline reports.
"Realtors of San Francisco are happy I found somewhere, so they don't have to hear from me any more," Cleveland Motley, founder of the bag line, tells the pub. At least one other maker will follow Motley to Larkin and Geary, while most of the others will flock east to Oakland. To say a final farewell to 1564 MRKT —and to contribute $15 to the move— stop by the soon-to-close space on Saturday, December 20 at 8pm for some holiday cheer.
