As we've come to expect in San Francisco, opening dates are rarely firm. Remember the Eres delays? And the still-unopened Rebecca Minkoff store? SoulCycle's SoMa location opening is in a similar state of flux. In April, we reported that it could open as early as October. In October, a company rep told us that the studio would be coming in December. Now, we have word that SoMa will probably get its Soul next Thursday, December 11th. Give or take a day or two.
The studio, located at 75 E 1st Street (on the corner of Mission and 1st), is the largest NorCal location yet. It will have 64 bikes, the standard Soul boutique, and full lockers rooms. The women's locker room will have eight showers, the men's will have five, and everyone will have an easier time getting ready for work after a morning class. (There are additional bathrooms, too, because SoulCycle knows how to spoil clients.) With Pressed Juicery opening next door to the studio, this new location really can be your Marina home-away-from-home.
