Chubbies, the local brand that boldly proclaims its disdain for trousers, is taking its online game offline for the holiday season. Last week, the brand opened a Cow Hollow pop-up shop where you can shop a selection of shorts, Hawaiian shirts, and ugly Christmas sweaters. (If the item you want is unavailable at the pop-up, Chubbies will give you free overnight shipping for placing an online order in the store.) And if the shorts and shirts aren't enough to drive you into the store, perhaps the lure of the sports ball will be: A rep for the brand tells Racked that sports fans are welcome to stop by and watch whatever game happens to be playing. The shop will be open Tuesday through Sunday until December 28th. Positioned near Marengo and Bar None at 1980 Union, this could easily become the next neighborhood hotspot.
