Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

You can now invite a virtual stylist into your closet using a new fashion tech platform. SF-based WiShi (which stands for "Wear It, Share It") lets users upload the individual items in their closets to have outfits styled by a community of fashionistas. Think of the "crowd styling" platform as fresh eyes on your current wardrobe to help you find pairings that you wouldn't otherwise find on your own. Locals can start the WiShi experience with an option that sends a professional WiShi photographer into your SF home to photograph and upload your virtual wardrobe. (The free closet service offer ends on February 1, 2015.) If you need styling advice ahead of New Year's parties, snap your shots and sit back as the suggestions hit your account.
