Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Your credit cards, passport, and identification cards are in danger and you probably don't even know it. There's a relatively new trick for hackers to steal your identity via the radio frequency identification (RFID) that certain cards emanate. But Betabrand will soon release two items that can thwart identity thieves' efforts. The Ready Jeans ($168) and the Work-It Blazer ($198) have pockets lined with RFID-blocking materials (approved by Norton, the security software specialist) to block scanning devices.

Of course —as The Verge points out— there are already many RFID-blocking accessories like wallets and cases currently available to purchase. But none are as stylish as the slim fitting jeans for men and the tailored jacket for women. Order now during the crowdfunding stage and save 10% to 25% off the retail prices. The jacket option has yet to reach its goal amount so start loading up that virtual cart for you and your identity-theft-paranoid girlfriends.
