But as much as the places and the clients are well known, the man himself—with many hats like decorator, event planner, and fashion dandy—is more difficult to grasp. For starters, it reveals that Ken has no formal training in interior design. But after stints in textile design, he fell into decorating when his SF friends asked him to do their homes. The business grew from there to include event planning and personal shopping services.
