Three months ago, Stella McCartney boarded up the old Kate Spade space in the Stanford Shopping Center for renovations. Now, we're hearing word that the brand's sixth free-standing, stateside store will open this weekend—if all finishing touches go as planned. The new 1,200 square feet boutique reflects the world of designer Stella McCartney and will carry the luxury women's ready-to-wear, accessories, lingerie, fragrance, and kids collections, the brand tells us.
In addition to the product, the store will draw in shoppers with a concrete-clad facade, complete with locally-sourced stone and shell aggregate, and white, hand-dyed concrete floor panels. Of course, no new store in Silicon Valley (or even SF proper, i.e., Rebecca Minkoff) would be complete without a digital touch screen. In this case, the tech display will feature the kids, lingerie, and Adidas by Stella McCartney collections. We'll keep you updated on the exact store opening date. Until then, look through this gift guide to start adding items to your wishlist.
