UNION SQUARE— Head to Union Square tonight, December 3rd, at 5 pm to see Mayor Ed Lee, SFMTA's Ed Reiskin and representatives from Union Square kick off the open pedestrian plaza on Stockton Street. (You probably know it as the giant subway construction zone next to Barney's in Union Square.) Tonight's festivities include a holiday light show from Immersive SF, along with private tours of the area. The pedestrian plaza, food trucks, and the light shows will remain through January 1.
