Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's that time of the year again for Timbuk2 to open its doors to its Mission headquarters for a public, one-day sample sale. The annual event helps make holiday shopping easy on your time and your wallet. It's happening this Saturday, December 13 from 9am to 5pm (or until everything sells out), and you can expect bags and accessories at discounts from 50% to 70% off retail prices. The range of styles run from samples to one-of-a-kinds to "we-made-too-many" bags and include messenger and laptop bags, backpacks, camera bags, totes, and panniers. For a full list of products, see here. Then set a calender reminder to head over to 587 Shotwell Street (with credit or debit card in hand, no cash) to scoop up these SF-made favorites. You can even skip Saturday brunch since Benedict Arnold's —the city's one and only brunch food truck— will also be there, ready to fuel your sample sale efforts.
