After nearly a year of speculation, a source has confirmed to the Chronicle that Apple's mergers and acquisitions chief Adam Perica secretly met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Although no one has penned an agreement yet, the meeting could be in line with Musk's desire to reach a larger market. And in another arm of business at Apple, SVP of operations Jeff Williams and his team are developing mobile medical apps with a special focus on aiding the heart's function. With these new industries to explore, Apple just may give Google a run for its money.
