When fashion writer turned shop owner Sydney Pfaff opened her store Legion, she landed in Chinatown. When asked, "Why?" by 7x7, Pfaff explains: "there's never a dull moment" in the nabe and that to her "is the center of the city." And she's in good company. In her roundup of her top five faves in the neighborhood, she lists Eden&Eden along with a few must-try restos to show she isn't alone in choosing the locale. And if Chinatown isn't a stop on your usual hunt for clothes and jewelry, then trust us. The new pieces and brands (i.e. Evens and Kaarem) and the tried and true (i.e. Baggu and Cold Picnic) are reasons enough to journey into this central slice of the city.
