The first phase of the Broadway Plaza $250 million reno will being next week on March 3. This phase involves work on the parking garage behind the Nordstrom and will eventually lead up to the demolition of 80,000 square feet of retail space between Nordstrom and Macy's. But not to worry: 300,000 square feet of mall will takes its place, bringing the total retail space to 1.1 million square feet. [San Francisco Business Times]
