The handcrafted, artisanal handbags and clutches from Kayu Designs are redcarpet regulars, seen accessorizing the likes of Tiffani Thiessen and Betsy Brandt. But they're more than just pretty little things for celebs. Kayu's founder and designer Jamie Lim tells us she creates her bags for the girl who is always up for an adventure. "She loves to try new restaurants, she's active, she loves the unique, and she embraces color in all aspects of her life," Kim explains.
So it's little wonder that Kayu's Spring 2014 Lookbook incites thoughts of tropical getaways and warm nights, dancing with bare toes in the sand and a chic, woven clutch as your constant companion at your side. Find your accomplice from the lineup and book your trip. Life's too short to live without a little Kayu color.
You can find Kayu in the Bay Area at Margaret Elizabeth, Calypso St. Barth stores, and at Nordstrom (SF and San Jose). The handbag collection consists of distinctive silhouettes created from an eclectic mix of sustainable straw, satin, jute, and tinalak; prices range from $150 to $300.
