Laleh and Alessandro Latini made a splash in the furtniture design world with their wildly popular Junk in the Trunk bed—so much so that it's currently and indefinitely sold out. Luckily they have plenty of other great home goods to choose from at their new Oakland shop.
The husband and wife team are part furniture designer and part graphic designer/photographer, respectively. The aesthetic is modern bohemian, featuring heirloom-quality furniture constructed with plantation grown, reclaimed woods and natural fabrics. Alessandro has designed for several major U.S. furniture retailers, and travels the globe to source sustainable materials and methods of fabrication. And Laleh brings a unique artistic vision to the brand. The store is at 465 9th Street at Broadway, where you can find their own work plus accessories and artwork by local artists. Take a tour of the interior in the gallery, and mark your calendar for an Oakland road trip!
