Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

House Beautiful Editor in Chief Newell Turner will be in town tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26, to host a shopping extravaganza on design-centric Sacramento Street. From 5 until 8pm, Turner will be on hand to celebrate his magazine's new "Shop America" shopping guide in the April issue, which spotlights the best places to shop for great design across the country in San Francisco and six other cities.

The magazine features 10 Sacramento Street stores, including many that appear on our Racked SF 38 Home Goods list: including Kendall Wilkinson Home, Sue Fisher King, The Future Perfect, Hudson Grace, March and Anyon Atelier, to name a few. All 10 stores will be open until 8pm tomorrow, and will have special promotions, snacks and beverages. Sue Fisher King will host a special signing of the book DISHES, written by House Beautiful executive editor Shax Riegler. If you've ever been curious about this little slice of interior heaven, now is the time—all of the festivities are free and open to the public.
