Fair or not, the Valley's tech scene is known for its standard hoodie work wear. But Amy Andersen, the match-making guru behind Linx Dating, is trying to change the area's fashion landscape—at least when it comes to the dating scene. Andersen tells Business Insider that she suggests guys wear dark denim jeans paired with a Rag & Bone long-sleeve tee and black-and-white Adidas shoes for a casual first date. And for a fancier affair, it's the full nine yards, complete with cuff links. Women get off a little easier with "skinny pants, a great silk tank style top, an edgy leather jacket (so hot for Spring 2014), the right costume jewelry, and some nude pumps." It may not work for the startup office, but take the advice from the expert: dressing well will significantly up your chances of dating success.
