On the red carpet, moments before winning her first shiny gold Oscar, Lupita Nyong'o told reporters that she chose her ice blue Prada gown because it reminded her of home in Kenya. And although continents apart, our blue waters aren't so different. It's all the more reason to wear ice blue and feel uplifted and effervescent—much like the image of Nyong'o "Happy" dance with Pharrell. We may lack the little gold statue on our mantels but that won't stop us from dressing the part.
