Girls on the Run Auction; NYFW in Benicia

HAYES VALLEY—The Bay Area chapter of Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization that seeks to promote confidence in young girls, is hosting an event at Alternative Apparel's Hayes Valley store (424 Hayes Street), April 23 from 5:45 to 9pm. The evening will begin with a post-work yoga session in the store, followed by cocktails and bites from Melissa King. The evening will close with a silent auction featuring donations from local businesses including Green Apple Books, Naked Wines, and others. [Racked Inbox]

BENICIA—On April 23, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, Christina's and Be Chic Boutique are hosting "New York Fashion Week in Benicia," a luncheon and fashion show to to benefit the Benicia Community Action Council and Senior Meals Program. The event will be held at the Benicia Clocktower, 1189 Washington Street, and will feature designer Richard Hallmarq from Project Runway season 11! Ticket information can be found here.
