Union Square's old Hotel Frank at 386 Geary will re-open as Hotel G on May 2. The extensive, two-year remodel has transformed the interior space into a blend of modern and antique, featuring "fog-colored walls, wood finishes as well as some fair trade pieces such as rugs and artwork," according to the Business Times. And with reasonable room rates ranging from $190 to $280, the savings in a hotel stay can go directly toward local shopping and dining. [SF Business Times]
