Is Acne Studios Finally Coming to SF?

There's been buzz about Swedish clothing company Acne Studios setting up shop in San Francisco for more than a year now, and it looks like it might finally be happening. The cult brand, worn by top bloggers and fashion mavens everywhere, opened its first West Coast outpost in L.A. this past December. Their top pick for an SF location? A little birdie tells us it's—unsurprisingly—ultra-hip Hayes Valley. If that doesn't work out, however, they will be opting for a more traditional spot in the Financial District. One reason we're guessing Acne's arrival is imminent? Local retailers, some who've carried Acne for years, have recently lost their contracts with the brand.—Darcy Boynton
