More details are beginning to surface around Christian Louboutin's upcoming opening on Maiden Lane. "I like towns where people take the time to walk in the street, and San Francisco is a beautiful city with beautiful architecture," Louboutin tells WWD. "I was conquered by this location." And we think he means it in the best possible way.
The 1,650-square-foot store is a new design concept for the luxe shoes and accessories brand. The project is headed by NYC-based architecture firm 212Box, and the boutique will offer the full collections for both men and women, divided into two different rooms and separated by a "one-way mirror [that] allows the female shoppers glimpses into the men's lounge." How voyeuristic! The official opening is this week although the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
