The Standard 5&10 Ace celebrated 75 years of business in SF this past weekend. What's the secret behind the longevity of the original Mom-and-Pop hardware store? It's great customer service—and "taking calculated risks throughout the years" like beanie babies, co-owner Michelle Leopold tells SFBay. If you're a little bummed to have missed the festivities and promos at the store this past weekend, cheer up. There's a major Memorial Day sale coming up, near the end of the month.
