The Academy of Art University fashion merchandising program is launching a pop-up shop tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20, at 2225 Jerrold Avenue (the venue for the recent AAU graduation fashion show). Through May 31, both students and established alums will be selling their wares every Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
Brands including Levis, UNIQLO and Banana Republic donated products for AAU design, textile and merchandising students to customized, including raw selvedge denim, Supima cotton knits and classic white button down shirts. AAU alumni and designers behind the brands Mansoor Scott (clothing), Freda Salvador (shoes) and Tommy Pham (denim) will also have outposts at the pop up. Look for products from BFA product development classes as well, including safety-pin jewelry, toys and custom tote bags.
