The Alameda Flea is this Sunday. And with the weather calling for mild temps and zero chance of rain, it's the perfect day for a stroll around the aisles and aisles of 700+ vendors and all their home goods. But for the Alameda Flea newbie (or for those in search of a more intense shopping experience), you'll want to sign up here for a workshop we mentioned yesterday on how to best navigate the ins and outs of the market. Led by stylist Rebekah Carey McNall, the two-and-a-half hour session tackles questions like "How to negotiate" and "How to tell if an item is worth painting." If you need extra help figuring out how to make your flea finds look cohesive instead of kitschy, sign up now. The class meets at 10am and the cost is $55 (which includes the price of entry and drink and snack).
