As we reported earlier this week, Uniqlo is opening another Bay Area location in Walnut Creek—in addition to two more in Pleasanton and Milpitas. Why so many in such close proximity of one another? It's all part of the business plan. CEO Larry Meyer told us back in October that Uniqlo's centralized expansion allows for better quality control and brand recognition. Look for the Walnut Creek and Pleasanton stores to open on August 29 and Milpitas store to closely follow on September 12. And if last month's two openings were any indication, you can most definitely expect some major lines.
