Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There's no shortage of interior design eye candy from magazines to internet sites like Pinterest and Houzz. But it may feel daunting to actually apply those finds to the decor in your own home. Newly launched startup nousDECOR bridges the gap between dream and reality by rebuilding the look for you on a budget you can work with. The three-step process begins with uploading and building a moodboard, then asking the community of professionals and experts for advice. Lastly, nousDECOR's shopping search tools—a bit like Decorist—will find products for you from a variety of sources.

Heather Gillette, an early YouTube employee, launched the site in collaboration with interior designer Mark Cutler (J.Lo is a client). And there are plenty of interactive ways to join the community, whether it's by weighing in on another user's moodboard or by participating in the contests and giveaways (like this one for a $14,000 bespoke couch). So clear your schedule because this nifty design tool will suck you in for an entire home decor re-do.
