Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Gather is the brainchild of husband-wife team Christian and Daisy McClellan, and focuses on local and hand-crafted designs. The store-slash-workshop opened this month, and features apparel and accessories both men, women and kids, plus home goods. Many of the brands are made in SF and difficult to find in retail stores. Even the majority of the interior fixtures and decor were locally sourced from the Alameda Antiques Faire and The Wooden Duck. The store will also host trunk shows and DIY classes once everything is in full swing so be sure to follow the Facebook page for future events.
