Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Convert is heading west, opening a second location in Hayes Valley to supplement its Berkeley store. Store owner Randy Brewer stocks brands that are socially responsible and eco-friendly without sacrificing style and aesthetics. There's good reason why Convert has made the Indie SF 38 list every season so far. It's just the store to fill the shoes that Nomads left behind. Look for brands like Pendleton and Apolis and collabs with designers like Jeffrey Campbell when the store opens in mid-July.
