Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Chairish is an SF-based flash sale site that has moved the high-end flea market concept online. And starting on Saturday, May 31 at 5pm, the site is hosting dad-curated sales to make Father's Day shopping simple and stress-free. The site tapped four prominent dads to curate collections with four distinct styles: Preppy Dad, Hipster Dad, Designer Dad, and Surfer Dad. The guys are Shep Murray, CEO of Vineyard Vines, Charlie Capen, Founder of How To Be a Dad, Eric Pfeiffer, Furniture Designer and CEO of Pfeiffer Labs, and Jim Moriarty, former CEO of Surfrider Foundation. And if your dad is either none of the above or a little of each, Chairish is also featuring a curated collection of affordable gifts that include barware items and other home decor pieces—all under $150.
